Evolution of Small Scale Density Perturbations of Plasma and Charged Aerosol Particles in Polar Mesospheric Summer Echoes (PMSE) Layers

摘要 TimeevolutionofionosphericD-regionplasmasincludingtheperturbationsofelectronsandchargedaerosolparticlesisinvestigatedundertheconditionsofpolarmesospheresummerechoes(PMSE).ItisshownthatthetimescaleofdecayoftheelectrondensityisintheorderofanhourundertypicalPMSEconditions,inthemajorityofcases,theelectrondensityisanticorrelatedtotheiondensity,exceptthattheradiusofaerosolparticlesisgreaterthan50nm.Also,theevolutionsundervariedparameters,suchastheamplitudeandwidthofperturbation,theaerosolparticleradius,andthealtitudeofthePMSEoccurrenceareinvestigated.Theobtainedresultsareusefulforinterpretingtheexperimentalobservations.
