摘要
Inordertoinvestigatethescaleefectofturbulentflowaroundacircularcylinder,twosimilaritynumbers(criteria)basedonturbulentkineticanddissipationratesassociatedwiththefluctuationcharacteristicsofturbulencewakearededucedbyanalyzingtheReynoldsaveragedNavier–Stokesequations(RANS).TheRNGk–εmodelsandfinitevolumemethodareusedtosolvethegoverningequationsandthesecond-orderimplicittimeandupwindspacediscretizationalgorithmsareusedtodiscretethegoverningequations.Anumericalcomputationofflowparametersaroundatwo-dimensionalcircularcylinderwithReynoldsnumbersrangingfrom102to107isaccomplishedandtheresultindicatesthatthefluctuationofturbulenceflowalongthecenterlineinthewakeofcircularcylindercanneverbechangedwithincreasingReynoldsnumberswhenRe3×106.Thisconclusionisusefulforcontrollingthescaleofnumericalcalculationsandforapplyingmodeltestdatatoengineeringpractice.
