摘要
Thelinearstabilityofwall-injectedpressuredrivenCouette-likeflowinpower-lawfluidsisstudied.PreviousstudyonthiskindofflowforNewtonianfluidsbyNicoudandAngilella[Phys.Rev.E56,3000(1997)]wasextendedtopower-lawfluidstounderstandthee?ectsofshear-thinning/thickeningnatureontheflowstability.ArelatedexpressionbetweenthecriticalcrossflowReynoldsnumberforNewtonianfluidsandthatforpower-lawfluidsisobtainedasthestreamwiseReynoldsnumberislargeenoughbasedonnumericalcomputations,andverifiedtheoreticallyinthecaseofalimitingconditionwiththepower-lawindex.
