SpaceisanimportantpartoftheSino-USrelationship.Itreflectsthegeneraldirectionofbilateralrelations,yethasitsowndevelopmenttrajectory.AsSino-USrelationshadtheirupsanddownsinthe1990s,spacecooperationbetweenthetwocountrieswasrelativelyconsistentandstable.Butaseconomyandtradebecamemoreandmoredeeplyintertwinedinthe21stcentury,spacecooperationlostitsmomentum.Thispaperintendstoexplorethereasonsbehindthisstrangedevelopmenttrajectorybyanalyzingthesecurity,political,legislativeandeconomicfactorsaffectingbilateralspacecooperation.ItalsotriestoanalyzetheprospectofSino-USspacecooperationinPresidentTrump'sterm.
