Discussion on "sandwich"structures and preservation conditions of shale gas in the South Yellow Sea Basin

摘要 InordertomakeabreakthroughinMesozoic-PaleozoicshalegasexplorationintheSouthYellowSeaBasin,acomparisonofthepreservationconditionswasmadewithintheBarnettshalegasreservoirsintheFortworthBasin,theJiaoshibashalegasreservoirsinSichuanBasinandpotentialshalegasreservoirsinGuizhouProvince.Theresultsshowthatthe"Sandwich"structureisofgreatimportanceforshalegasaccumulation.Thereinto,the"Sandwich"structureisakindofspecialreservoir-caprockassemblagewhichconsistoflimestoneordolomiteonthetop,mudstoneorshalelayerinthemiddleandlimestoneordolomiteatthebottom.InconsiderationoftheMesozoic-PaleozoieintheLowerYangtze,andLaoshanUpliftwithweakPaleozoicdeformationandthrustfaultsealingOnbothflanksoftheLaoshanUplift,aconclusioncanbedrawnthatthepreservationconditionsofshalegasprobablydeveloped"Sandwich"structuresintheLowerCambrianandPermian,whicharekeylayersforthebreakthroughofshalegasintheSouthYellowSea.Moreover,thepreferredtargetsforshalegasdrillingprobablylocateatbothflanksoftheLaoshanUplift.
