A New Method of Solving the Index Problem for Sturm-Liouville Eigenvalues-中国期刊网

摘要 Basedonsomerecentresultsforinterlacingeigenvalueintervalsfrom1-parameterfamiliesofsequencesofeigenvalueinequalities,anewmethodisgiventosolvingtheindexproblemforSturm-Liouvilleeigenvaluesforcoupledself-adjointboundaryconditionsintheregularcase.ThekeyisanewcharacteristicprincipleforindicesforSturm-Liouvilleeigenvalues.Thealgorithmcorrespondingonthecharacteristicprinciplearediscussed,andnumericalexamplesarepresentedtoillustratethetheoreticalresultsandshowthatthealgorithmisvalid.
