The research of space-time coupled spectral element method for acoustic wave equations

摘要 Aspace-timecoupledspectralelementmethodbasedonChebyshevpolynomialsispresentedforsolvingtime-dependentwaveequations.Acousticpropagationproblemsin1+1,2+1,3+1dimensionswiththeDirichletboundaryconditionsaresimulatedviaspace-timecoupledspectralelementmethodusingquadrilateral,hexahedralandtesseracticelementsrespectively.Space-timecoupledspectralelementmethodcanobtainhigh-orderprecisionovertime.Withthesametotalnumberofnodes,highernumericalprecisionisobtainedifthehigher-orderChebyshevpolynomialsinspacedirectionsandlower-orderChebyshevpolynomialsintimedirectionareadopted.Numericalillustrationshaveindicatedthatthespace-timealgorithmprovideshigherprecisionthanthesemi-discretization.Whenspace-timecoupledspectralelementmethodisused,timesubdomain-by-subdomainapproachismoreeconomicalthantimedomainapproach.
