摘要
High-pressureratioandwideoperatingrangearehighlyrequiredforaturbochargerindieselengines.Arecirculationflowtypecasingtreatmentiseffectiveforflowrangeenhancementofcentrifugalcompressors.Tworinggroovesonasuctionpipeandashroudcasingwallareconnectedbymeansofanannularpassageandstablerecirculationflowisformedatsmallflowratesfromthedownstreamgroovetowardtheupstreamgroovethroughtheannularbypass.Theshapeofbaselinerecirculationflowtypecasingismodifiedandoptimizedbyusingamulti-pointoptimizationcodewithametamodelassistedevolutionaryalgorithmembeddingacommercialCFDcodeCFXfromANSYS.Thenumericaloptimizationresultsgivetheoptimizeddesignofcasingwithimprovingadiabaticefficiencyinwideoperatingflowraterange.Sensitivityanalysisofdesignparametersasafunctionofefficiencyhasbeenperformed.Itisfoundthattheoptimizedcasingdesignprovidesoptimizedrecirculationflowrate,inwhichanincrementofentropyriseisminimizedatgroovesandpassagesoftherotatingimpeller.
