摘要
IntroductionFormanyyears,listeningcomprehensionhasbeentakenforgrantedasacourseandhassimplybeencontinuousandconstantlisteninggiventothestudentsregardlessofthestrategiesemployed,thestagesneededtoachievethegoalandtheappropriatenessofthematerials.Teachersteachtheirstudentslisteninginthewaytheythemselvesweretaught.Thisempiricalperspectiveofteaching,whichlacksasufficientlyscientificbasis,hasbeenchallengedinrecentyearsbyevidencefrompsycholinguisticresearch.Thisinfluentialfieldofstudyhasprovidedmanyfreshinsightsintothenatureofthehumanmindandbroadenedourviewoflanguageteaching.
