摘要
Onthebasisoftheexperimentalworkofadhesion(W)data,theadhesionbetweentransitionmetalcar-bidesandpureliquidmetalswhichdonotreactwithcarbidesisstudied.Inviewofgreatscatteringoftheex-perimentalvaluesofW,acriticalanalysisoftheseresultsisperformed.TheselectedWvaluesfor9copper/carbidesystemsand6metal/TiCsystemsareusedtodiscussthevarioussuggestionsconcerningthemechanismofadhesionandtoevidencetheroleofthevalenceelectronsofthebothcarbideandmetalontheinteractionsbetweenmetalsandcarbides.Theinteractionsbetweenametalandacarbideareessentiallymetal-licinteractions,resultingfromtheoverlappingofthevalenceelectronsatthemetal/carbideinterface.
