摘要
Tapwaterisoneofthemostcommonlyusedwaterresourcesinourdailylife.However,theincreasingwatercontaminationandthehealthriskcausedbypathogenicbacteria,suchasStaphylococcusaureusandEscherichiacolihaveattractedmoreattention.Themutualismofdifferentpathogenicbacteriamaydiminishantibacterialeffectofantibacterialagents.Itwasfoundthatmaterialsusedformakingpipeandtapplayedoneofthemostimportantrolesinpromotingbacterialgrowth.Thispaperistoreporttheperformanceofaninnovativetype304Cu-bearingstainlesssteel(304CuSS)againstmicrobesintapwater.Theinvestigationmethodologiesinvolvedweremeansofheterotrophicplatecount,contactanglemeasurements,scanningelectronmicroscopyforobservingthecellandsubtractsurfacemorphology,atomicabsorptionspectrometryforcopperionsreleasestudy,andconfocallaserscanningmicroscopyusedforexamininglive/deadbacteriaonnormal304stainlesssteeland304CuSS.ItwasfoundthatthesurfacefreeenergyvariedafterbeingimmersedintapwaterwithpolarcomponentandCuionsrelease.Theresultsshowed304CuSScouldeffectivelykillmostoftheplanktonicbacteria(max95.9%antibacterialrate),andconsequentlyinhibitbacterialbiofilmsformationonthesurface,contributingtothereductionofpathogenicrisktothesurroundingenvironments.
