摘要
TheControlRoomLogbook(CRL)isdesignedtoimproveandreplacethepaperlogbookstraditionallyusedintheHEPacceleratorcontrolroom.Itsfeaturesbenefittheon-linecoordinator,theshiftoperators,andtheremoteobservers,Thispaperexplainssomeofthemostattractivefeaturesforeachoftheseroles.Thefeaturesincludetheabilitytoconfigurethelogbookforthespecificneedsofacollaboration,alargevarietyofentrytypesoperatorcanaddbysimplyclickinganddragging,andaflexiblewebinterfacefortheremoteobservertokeepupwithcontrolroomactivities.TheentriesaresavedasUTF-8basedXMLfiles,whichallowedustogivethedatastructureandmeaningsuchthatitcaneasilybeparsedinthepresentandfarintothefuture.TheXMLtagdataisalsoindexedinarelationaldatabase,makingqueriesondates,keyworks,entrytypeandothercriteriafeasibleandfast.TheCRLisusedintheD0controlroom.Thispresentationalsodiscussesourexperiencewithdeployment,platformindependenceandotherinterestingissuesthatarosewiththeinstallationanduseoflogbook.
