摘要 Waveguidesuperlattices,aspecialtypeofwaveguidearrays,canbedesignedtoachieveverylowcrosstalkatsubmicrometer/subwavelengthpitches.Thetheoreticalframeworkanddesignrationalesforsuchwaveguidesuperlatticeswillbepresentedindepth.Waveguidesidewallroughnesscanhelptodeterthecoherentcouplingbetweenidenticalwaveguidesinnearbysupercells,butitalsoinducesrandomfluctuationoftransmission.Statisticalbehaviorofthetransmissionduetoroughnessinawaveguidesuperlatticeissystematicallytreated.Complextransmissioncharacteristicsduetospectraloscillationandrandomroughnesswillbepresented,andtheirevolutionwiththesuperlatticelengthwillbeanalyzed.
