摘要
Themodulationofresonancefeaturesinmicrocavitiesisimportanttoapplicationsinnanophotonics.Basedontheasymmetricwhispering-gallerymodes(WGMs)inaplasmonicresonator,wetheoreticallystudiedthemodeevolutioninanasymmetricWGMplasmonicsystem.Exploitingthegapornano-scatterintheplasmonicringcavity,thesymmetryofthesystemwillbebrokenandthestandingwaveinthecavitywillbetunable.Basedonthisasymmetricstructure,theoutputcouplingratebetweenthetwocavitymodescanalsobetuned.Moreover,theproposedmethodcouldfurtherbeappliedforsensinganddetectingthepositionofdefectsinaWGMsystem.
