TheAmericanGeologicalInstitute(AGI)isafederationof42professionalgeoscienceorganizationsrepresentingmorethan100,000geologists,geophysicists,andotherEarthscientists.Inaddition,12regionalsocietiesareGeoscienceAssociates,150collegesanduniversitiesareAcademicAssociates,and45companiesareCorporateAssociates.GeosciencesocietiesandorganizationsoutsideoftheUnitedStatesareinvitedtoaffiliatewithAGItobecomepartofagrowinginternationalcommunityofEarthscientistsworkinginconcerttostrengthentheglobalgeosciencecommunity.
