摘要 BasedonthedoubleFourierintegralrepresentationforsteadyviscousshipwaves,whichinvolvesagenericamplitudefunctionandacomplexdispersionrelation,thephasefunctionforthree-dimensionalshipwavesinthefarfieldwasasymptoticallyderivedbymeansoftheLighthilltwo-stageschemecombiningtheCauchyresiduetheoremandthemethodofsteepestdescents,andtheeffectofviscosityonwavelengthswasnumericallyinvestigatedwiththeNewtoniterationmethod.Itisfoundthatthetransverseanddivergingwavesareelongatedduetothepresenceofviscosityandthelatterismoreheavilyaffectedandthatthephasedifferencesbetweentheviscoustransverseanddivergingwavesarelargerthanthoseofthecorrespondinginviscidwaves.
