摘要
ThreeglobalmetallogenicbeltswereformedintheworldduringMesozoicandpost-Mesozoictimes.TwoofthemaresituatedalongthewesternandeasternPacificmargins,andthethirdone-theTethyanEurasianmetallogenicbelt(TEMB)isrelatedtothedomainofEurasianplateandflankedonthesouthbytheAfro-ArabianandIndianplates.ThegeneraltectonicevolutionoftherealmwheretheTEMBwasformediscloselyconnectedwiththehistoryofTethys.Theemplacementoforedepositsandthedevelopmentofregionalmetallogenicunitsarerelatedtoadefinitivetimeintervalandtospecifictectonicsettingssuchas:(1)IntracontinentalriftingalongthenorthernmarginofGondwanaand/orfragmentsalreadyseparated;(2)Oceanicenvironments(i.e.ophiolitecomplexesandoceanfloorsediments)hostpodiformchromitedeposits,volcano-sedimentarycupriferouspyritedeposits(Cyprustype),stratiformmanganesedeposits,andsporadicallyPGEdeposits;(3)Subductionrelatedsettingsinvolvemainlyporphyrycopperdeposits,hydrothermalmassivesulphidepolymetallicdeposits,andepithermaldeposits.SofaridentifiedmineralizationofporphyrycopperexceedsintheTEMBover100milliontonsofcoppermetal;and(4)Collisionandpost-collisioncontinent-continentsettingincludesdepositsoflead-zinc,antimony,gold,insomesectorstindeposits,aswell.ThegiantdepositsofLi-pegmatiteoccursporadically.TheTEMBisalmostacontinuouslymineralizedbelt,butwithinit,somesectorsdisplayspecificfeaturesoftectonicsettings,associationofelements,mineralsandmorphogenetictypesofmineralization.
