InwesternSongnenPlainofChina,thesaline-alkalinedegreeofwaterbodiesishighinsaltmarshwetlands.Generally,pHisabove8.0,andthehydrochemicaltypesbelongtoHCO32--Na+.ThroughanalysisonthebasicsalinevariablessuchasCO32-,HCO32-,Cl-,Ca2+,Mg2+,SO42-,Na+,andthederivativevariablessuchasSAR,SDR,RSC,SSP,therelationshipsbetweendifferentvariablesarefound,andthediscriminantequationsareestablishedtoidentifydifferentsaline-alkalinewaterbodiesbyusingprincipalcomponentanalysis.
