AgeopulseseismicsystemwasimplementedtoobtainnewinformationonunderlyingstratabeneaththeYellowRiverDelta.However,owingtotheslippingofseafloorandshallowwater(<25m),freesurface-relatedmultiplesareconflictedwiththeflatprimaries,whichmayinstructtheinterpretersinawrongwayandmakewrongconclusions.Owingtothevariationofmultipleperiods,standardanti-multipletechniquesmaylosetheirpower,suchaspredictivedeconvolution.Surface-relatedmultipleeliminationmethodsareintroducedtoattenuatethemultiplesbasedontheunderlyingwave-equationprinciples.Theresultsjustifiedthemethodonthesingle-channelgeopulseprofile,revealingtherealnatureofthesubsurface.
