Modeling of unsteadiness of fluid flows and level fluctuations in thin slab continuous casting moulds-中国期刊网

摘要 Unsteadyfluidflowsandlevelfluctuationsinathinslabcontinuouscastingmouldhavesignificantinfluenceonproductquality.Inthisstudy,thephenomenaconcerningtransientflowfeaturesandfreesurfacemotionswereanalyzedbymeansofthelargeeddysimulation(LES)softwarewiththesmagorinskySGSmodel-VisualCast(VCast)II,wheretheSimpleralgorithmonabody-fittedmeshwasusedtoresolvegoverningequations.Aseriesofwateranalogexperimentsonthefluidflowandthesurfacewaveinthemouldsofthinslabcontinuouscastingwerealsoperformed.Theresultsoffluidregions,middleofvortexandlevelfluctuationfromdigitalsimulationswereidenticalwiththeresultsofthewateranalogexperiments.
