摘要
Thebandstructuresofflexuralwavesinaphononiccrystalthinplatewithstraight,bendingorbranchinglineardefectsaretheoreticallyinvestigatedusingthesupercelltechniquebasedontheimprovedplanewaveexpansionmethod.Weshowtheexistenceofanabsolutebandgapoftheperfectphononiccrystalandlineardefectmodesinsidethegapcausedbylocalizationofflexuralwavesatornearthedefects.Thedisplacementdistributionsshowthatflexuralwavescantransmitwellalongthestraightlineardefectcreatedbyremovingonerowofcylindersfromtheperfectphononiccrystalsforalmostallthefrequenciesfallinginthebandgap,whichindicatesthatthisstructurecanactasahighefficiencywaveguide.However,forbendingorbranchinglineardefects,thereexistbothguidedandlocalizedmodes,andthereforethephononiccrystalscouldbeservedaswaveguidesorfilters.
