Propagation of flexural waves in phononic crystal thin plates with linear defects

摘要 Thebandstructuresofflexuralwavesinaphononiccrystalthinplatewithstraight,bendingorbranchinglineardefectsaretheoreticallyinvestigatedusingthesupercelltechniquebasedontheimprovedplanewaveexpansionmethod.Weshowtheexistenceofanabsolutebandgapoftheperfectphononiccrystalandlineardefectmodesinsidethegapcausedbylocalizationofflexuralwavesatornearthedefects.Thedisplacementdistributionsshowthatflexuralwavescantransmitwellalongthestraightlineardefectcreatedbyremovingonerowofcylindersfromtheperfectphononiccrystalsforalmostallthefrequenciesfallinginthebandgap,whichindicatesthatthisstructurecanactasahighefficiencywaveguide.However,forbendingorbranchinglineardefects,thereexistbothguidedandlocalizedmodes,andthereforethephononiccrystalscouldbeservedaswaveguidesorfilters.
