简介:Inthispaper,sixkindsofactivatedcarbonssuchasAg^+-activatedcarbon,Cu^2+activatedcarbon,Fe^3+-activatedcarbon,activatedcarbon,Ba^2+-activatedcarbonandCa^2+activatedcarbonwereprepared.Themodelforestimatingactivatedenergyofdesorptionwasestablished.Temperature-programmeddesorption(TPD)experimentswereconductedtomeasuretheTPDcurvesofn-hexanolandthenestimatetheactivationenergyfordesorptionofn-hexanolontheactivatedcarbons.Resultsshowedthattheactivationenergyforthedesorptionofn-hexanolontheAg^+-activatedcarbon,theCu^2+-activatedcarbonandtheFe^3+-activatedcarbonwerehigherthanthoseofn-hexanolontheactivatedcarbon,theCa^2+-activatedcarbonandtheBa^2+-activatedcarbon.

简介:Theadsorptionbehaviorofdyesonavarietyofsisalbasedactivatedcarbonfibers(SACF)hasbeenstudiedinthispaper.TheresultsshowthatthiskindofACFhasexcellentadsorptioncapacitiesforsomeorganic(dye)molecules.SACFcanremovenearlyallmethyleneblue,crystalviolet,bromophenolblueandEriochromeblueblackRfromwaterafterstaticadsorptionfor24h.at30℃.Theadsorptionamountscanreachmorethan400mg/gwhenadding50mgSACFinto50mldyesolution.Underthesameconditions,theadsorptionamountsofxylenolorangefluoresceinandEriochromeblackTwreelower.Ontheotherhand,theadsorptionamountschangealongwiththecharacteristicsofadsorbents.TheSACFsactivatedabove840℃,whichhavehigherspecificsurfaceareasandwiderporeradii,havehigheradsorptionamountsforthedyes.TheresearchingresultsalsoshowthattheadsorptionratesofdyesontoSACFsdecreasebytheorderofmethyleneblue,EriochromeblueblackRandcrystalviolet.

简介:Theeffectoftheimprovementofcommercialactivatedcarbon(AC)onitsspecificcapacitanceandhighratecapabilityofdoublelayer(dl)charging/dischargingprocesshasbeenstudied.TheimprovementofACwascarriedoutviaasecondaryactivationundersteaminthepresenceofcatalystNiCl2,andthesuitableconditionwasfoundtobeaheattreatmentatabout875℃for1h.Underthoseconditions,thedischargespecificcapacitanceoftheimprovedACincreasesupto53.67F/g,showinganincreaseofabout25%ascomparedwiththatofas-receivedAC.Thegoodrectangular-shapedvoltammogramsandA.C.impedancespectraprovethatthehighratecapabilityofthecapacitormadeoftheimprovedACisenhancedsignificantly.Thecapacitanceresistance(RC)timeconstantofthecapacitorcontainingtheimprovedACis1.74s,whichismuchlowerthanthatoftheonecontainingas-receivedAC(anRCvalueof4.73s).ItisnotedthatbothkindsofACsamplesshowasimilarspecificsurfaceareaandporesizedistribution,butsomechangeshavetakenplaceinthecarbonsurfacegroups,especiallyadecreaseintheconcentrationofsurfacecarbonylgroupsaftertheimprovement,whichhavebeenverifiedbymeansofX-photoelectronspectroscopy.Accordingly,itissuggestedthatthedecreaseintheconcentrationofsurfacecarbonylgroupsfortheimprovedACisbeneficialtotheorganicelectrolyteionpenetratingintothepores,thusleadingtotheincreaseinboththespecificcapacitanceandhighratecapabilityofthesupercapacitor.
