  • 简介:Thisresearchadoptedfourmethodstotoughenepoxyadhesives.Theywereliquidhydroxylgroupterminatedpolybutadiene(HTPB)rubbermodification,siliconrubbermodification,polyacrylatemultiplicityelastomerparticulatesemulsionmodificationandchemicalgraftingmodification.Aftermodification,theshearingstrengthandtheraptureelongationweretested.Theinterfaceandthechemicalreactionbetweenthemodifiersandtheepoxywereanalyzedbyscanningelectronmicroscope(SEM)andinfraredopticalspectrum.Theresultsshowthattheelastomerparticulatesmodificationandthechemicalgraftingmodificationcanreachthebettertougheningeffects.

  • 简介:ObjectiveTostudytheeffectsofBatroxobinonotitismediawitheffusion(OME),anearlystageofAdhesiveOtitisMedia(AOM),forthepurposeofexpandingourunderstandingoftheroleoffibrinolysisinthepathogenesisofAOM.MethodFortycasesofOME(45ears)wererandomlyselectedtoreceiveintratympanicadministrationofDexamethasoneat5mg/ml(Group1orG1),Batroxobinat1BU/ml(Group2orG2)orBatroxobinat2BU/ml(Group3orG3).Pre-andpost-treatmentchangesinclinicalsymptoms,theAirconductionHearingThreshold(AHT)inpuretoneaudiometryandaverageAHTover0.25to2kHzwerecompared.ResultsDatafrom31cases(33ears)wereavailableforanalysis.AHTsamongthreegroupsweresimilarpriortotreatment(P>0.05).TherateofnormalhearingfollowingtreatmentinG3was70%or7/10,higherthaninG1(41.7%or5/12)andG2(54.5%or6/11)(P<0.05).Therateofimprovementfollowingtreatmentwas81.8%or9/11and80.0%or8/10inG2andG3,respectively,higherthanthatinG1(50.0%or6/12)(P<0.05).ConclusionsTherapeuticeffectsofintratympanicinjectionofBatroxobinonOMEissuperiortotraditionallyusedDexamethasone.Inaddition,higherconcentrationofBatroxobinappearstobesuperiortolowerconcentrations.Thesefindingsconfirmthatfibrinolysisplaysapivotalroleinthepathogenesisofmiddleearadhesionandthatfibrinolyticmedicinecanpreventorreduceadhesiondevelopmentinthemiddleear.

  • 简介:Thisletterreviewstheadhesiveandfrictionalpropertiesofthefirstmushroom-shapedadhesivemicrostructure(MSAMS),whichhascomealongwayfrominspirationbytheattachmentdevicesevolvedinbeetlestoalarge-scaleindustrialproduction.Itwasshowntohaveanthatabouttwicehigherpull-offforcecomparedtoasmoothcontrolmadefromthesamematerialmeasuredonsmoothsubstrates.Pull-offforcesmeasuredunderwaterareevenhigherthanthoseinair.Moreover,itretainedadhesiveperformanceoverthousandsofattachmentcyclesandinitialadhesivecapabilitycouldberecoveredbywashingafterbeingcontaminated.Inshearing,MSAMSexhibitsreducedandstabilizedfrictionincomparisonwithasmoothcontrol,whichdemonstratedpronouncedstick-slipmotion,andshowszeropull-offforceinashearedstate,allowingtheadhesiontobeswitchedonandoff.Thepresenceofafluidinthecontactzoneshowedadhesionenhancementonbothsmoothandroughsubstrates.AllthesefeaturesleadustoconcludethatMSAMSmayhavepracticalpotentialinavarietyofapplications.

  • 简介:Objective:Toobservetheeffectofoctyl-a-cyanoacrylateuponbonehealinganditsdegradationinvitroaftermiddletibialtransversefractureinrabbits,andtoestablishtreatmentofhigherefficacywiththeapplicationofoctyl-a-cyanoacrylate.Methods:MiddletibialtransversefracturemodelofNewZealandrabbitswasestablished.Intheexperimentalgroup,internalfixationwith2mmKirschnerwireswasperformedandthebrokenendswerefixedwithoctyl-a-cyanoacrylate.Inthecontrolgroup,onlyinternalfixationwith2mmKirschnerwireswasconducted.Animalswerekilledatpresettimeintervalsof2,4,6,8,10and12weekspostoperativelyandsampleswereharvested.Results:Twoweeksafteroperation,clearfracturelineswereobservedinboththeexperimentalandthecontrolgroups.Fibroussofttissueconnectionwasnotedbetweenthebrokenendsandtherewassofttissueadhesionaroundthefracturesite.Therewasnocallusformationandthebrokenendsweresurroundedbyadhesivesofttissues.Obviousexternalcallusformationwasconfirmedat8weeksafteroperationinbothgroupswithpartialdisappearanceoffracturelines.Tenandtwelveweeksaftertheoperation,fracturelinesdisappearedcompletelyandtherewasobviousexternalcallusformationandboneunion.Inthefourthweek,fibrouscellsandchondrocyteswerefoundtogrowintothecolloidandsurrounditatthe6thweek.Theadhesivematerialwasdegradedandgraduallyabsorbedatthe8thweek.Chondrificationwasobserved.Conclusions:Twoweeksafterfixationfortibialfractureinrabbits,octyl-a-cyanoacrylatebeginsinvivodegradation.Chondrocytesandfibrocytesgraduallygrowintothedegradationareaandsurroundtheadhesivematerial,whichbrokeintopiecesat8weeks.Completedegradationanddisappearanceoftheadhesivematerialispresentbetween10and12weeks.Nobarriereffecthamperingfracturehealingisnoted.

  • 简介:Syntheticdryadhesivesinspiredbythenano-andmicro-scalehairsfoundonthefeetofgeckosandsomespidershavebeendevelopedforalmostadecade.Elastomericsinglelevelmicro-scalemushroomshapedfibresarecurrentlyabletofunctionevenbetterthannaturaldryadhesivesonsmoothsurfacesundernormalloading.However,theadhesionofthesesinglelevelsyntheticdryadhesivesonroughsurfacesisstillnotoptimalbecauseofthereducedcontactsurfacearea.Innature,contactareaismaximizedbyhierarchicallystructuringdifferentscalesoffibrescapableofconformingsurfaceroughness.Inthispaper,weadaptthenature’ssolutionaridproposeanoveldual-levelhierarchicaladhesivedesignusingPolydimethylsiloxane(PDMS),whichistestedunderpeelloadingatdifferentorientations.Anegativemacro-scalemoldismanufacturedbyusingalasercuttertodefineholesinaPoly(methylmethacrylate)(PMMA)plate.AftercastingPDMSmacro-scalefibresbyusingtheobtainedPMMAmold,apreviouslypreparedmicro-fibreadhesiveisbondedtothemacro-scalefibresubstrate.Oncethebondingpolymeriscured,themicro-fibreadhesiveiscuttoformmacroscalemushroomcaps.Eachmacro-fibreoftheresultinghierarchicaladhesiveisabletoconformtoloadsappliedindifferentdirections.Thedual-levelstructureenhancesthepeelstrengthonsmoothsurfacescomparedtoasingle-leveldryadhesive,butalsoweakenstheshearstrengthoftheadhesiveforagivenareaincontact.Theadhesiveappearstobeveryperformancesensitivetothespecificsizeofthefibretips,andexperimentsindicatethatdesigninghierarchicalstructuresisnotassimpleasplacingmultiplescalesoffibresontopofoneanother,butcanrequiresignificantdesignoptimizationtoenhancethecontactmechanicsandadhesionstrength.

  • 简介:目的:观察经皮穴位电刺激对粘连前期肩关节周围炎的治疗作用。方法:采用大样本、多中心、随机化等循证医学研究方法,对163例粘连前期肩关节周围炎患者分别进行经皮穴位电刺激治疗和电针治疗,观察经皮穴位电刺激对粘连前期肩周炎的治疗作用及与电针治疗的效应比较。结果与结论:经皮穴位电刺激对粘连前期肩周炎的总有效率达到96.59%,与电针比较无明显差异;该疗法不仅具有明显的止痛效应,对肩关节活动障碍也有明显的改善作用。经皮穴位电刺激为治疗肩周炎有效、简便的疗法。
