简介:Background:Stemradialgrowthinforestsisnotuniform.Rather,itischaracterizedbyperiodsofrelativelyfastorslowgrowth,orsometimesnogrowthatall.Thesefluctuationsaregenerallyafunctionofvaryingenvironmentalconditions(e.g.wateravailability)and,importantly,willalsobeassociatedwithadjustmentsinpropertiesinthewoodformed.Standlevelconditionsandforestmanagement,particularlythinningandstanddensitywill,however,alsohaveamajorinfluenceonpatternsofgrowthvariation.Weexplorehowdifferentthinninghistoriesand/orstanddensitiesinfluencethesedynamicsoftreegrowthintheimportantcommercialplantationspeciesPinusradiotaD.Don.Methods:DailystemsizechangewasmeasuredusingelectronicpointdendrometersovertwogrowingseasonsonP.rodiatatreesattwosites,subjectedtodifferentthinningregimes.Timing,ratesandperiodicityofannualgrowthwerecalculatedfromthesedata.Results:Greateroverallcross-seaionalgrowthinthinnedplotswasdrivenmainlybytwodynamics.First,thecessationofseasonalgrowthoccurredatleast3weekslaterinthestandsinwhichthinninghadtakenplace.Therewasnodifferencebetweenthinned/unthinnedstands,however,inthetimingofgrowthonset.Second,withinthelongerseason,treesinthinnedplotshadmoregrowthdays(asmuchas20%more)thanunthinnedplots.Theratesofgrowthondayswhengrowthoccurredwerenotdifferent,however.Inthiscontext,itisnotablethatintreesintheunthinnedplotsexperiencingthemostseverecompetitiontherewerestrongMpulsesMofgrowthfollowingdrought-breakingrainfallevents.Unthinnedplotsathighstanddensitiesalsomaintainedasmaller(butconsistent)zoneofdividingcellsthroughouttheseasonthanthinnedplots.Conclusions:InPinusradiatogrowingunderconditionsasinourstudy,conditionslateinsummer,particularlydrought,haveanimportanteffectonthetimingofcessationofgrowth.Earlyseasontemperatureappearstohavenoeffectin

简介:AbstractThe demand for acquiring different languages has increased with increasing globalization. However, knowledge of the modification of the new language in the neural language network remains insufficient. Although many details of language function have been detected based on the awake intra-operative mapping results, the language neural network of the bilingual or multilingual remains unclear, which raises difficulties in clinical practice to preserve patients’ full language ability in neurosurgery. In this review, we present a summary of the current findings regarding the structure of the language network and its evolution as the number of acquired languages increased in glioma patients. We then discuss a new insight into the awake intra-operative mapping protocol to reduce surgical risks during the preservation of language function in multilingual patients with glioma.

简介:AbstractThe year 2020 is an extremely unusual year. The world lost more than one million lives due to the attack of COVID-19. Economic production has been greatly reduced, and daily activities are largely restricted. Luckily the work of Chinese Journal of Traumatology (CJTEE) has not been adversely affected. 2020 is a harvest year for the journal, which (1) was included in the high-quality academic journals by China Association for Science and Technology; (2) cover of each issue is newly designed; (3) submission increased by about 60% with more countries and regions covered; (4) usage in the ScienceDirect database exceeded a million; (5) the CiteScore rises to more than 2.0 the first time. This study reviewed the articles published in the year 2020 by CJTEE.
简介:AbstractTrauma is the leading cause of death in people under the age of 45 years, and it has gained wide attention from academics worldwide. Therefore, more and more studies have reported on trauma and related fields in recent decades. In 2019, Chinese Journal of Traumatology (CJTEE) published 69 articles covering traffic medicine, wound healing, bone trauma, emergency care, and other hot topics of traumatology. Here we reviewed a series of articles published in CJTEE on the topics mentioned above, try to give a brief introduction of progress in trauma field.

简介:Objective:Population-basedcancerregistrationdatain2010werecollected,evaluatedandanalyzedbytheNationalCentralCancerRegistry(NCCR)ofChina.Cancerincidentnewcasesandcancerdeathswereestimated.Methods:Therewere219cancerregistriessubmittedcancerincidenceanddeathdatain2010.AlldatawerecheckedandevaluatedonbasisofthecriteriaofdataqualityfromNCCR.Total145registries’datawerequalifiedandacceptedforcancerstatisticsin2010.Pooleddatawerestratifiedbyurban/rural,area,sex,agegroupandcancersite.Cancerincidentcasesanddeathswereestimatedusingage-specificratesandnationalpopulation.Thetoptencommoncancersindifferentgroups,proportionandcumulativeratewerealsocalculated.Chinesecensusin2000andSegi’spopulationwereusedforage-standardizedincidence/mortalityrates.Results:All145cancerregistries(63inurbanand82inrural)coveredatotalof158,403,248population(92,433,739inurbanand65,969,509inruralareas).Theestimatesofnewcancerincidentcasesandcancerdeathswere3,093,039and1,956,622in2010,respectively.Themorphologyverifiedcases(MV%)accountedfor67.11%and2.99%ofincidentcaseswereidentifiedthroughdeathcertificationsonly(DCO%)withmortalitytoincidenceratio(M/I)of0.61.Thecrudeincidenceratewas235.23/100,000(268.65/100,000inmales,200.21/100,000infemales),age-standardizedincidenceratesbyChinesestandardpopulation(ASIRC,2000)andbyworldstandardpopulation(ASIRW)were184.58/100,000and181.49/100,000withthecumulativeincidencerate(0-74yearsold)of21.11%.ThecancerincidenceandASIRCwere256.41/100,000and187.53/100,000inurbanareaswhereasinruralareas,theywere213.71/100,000and181.10/100,000,respectively.ThecrudecancermortalityinChinawas148.81/100,000(186.37/100,000inmalesand109.42/100,000infemales),age-standardizedincidenceratesbyChinesestandardpopulation(ASMRC,2000)andbyworldstandardpopulation(ASMRW)were113.92/100,000and112.86/100,0
