简介:Ithasbeenreportedthattheminimalspatiallyextendedphytoplankton-zooplanktonsystemexhibitsbothtemporalregular/chaoticbehaviour,andspatiotemporalchaosinapatchyenvironment.Asafurtherinvestigationbymeansofcomputersimulationsandtheoreticalanalysis,inthispaperweobservethatthespiralwavesmayexistandthespatiotemporalchaosemergewhentheparametersarewithinthemixedTuring-Hopfbifurcationregion,whicharisesfromthefar-fieldbreakupofthespiralwavesoveralargerangeofdiffusioncoefficientsofphytoplanktonandzooplankton.Moreover,thespatiotemporalchaosarisingfromthefar-fieldbreakupofspiralwavesdoesnotgraduallyinvadethewholespaceofthatregion.Ourresultsareconfirmedbynonlinearbifurcationofwavetrains.Wealsodiscussecologicalimplicationsofthesespatiallystructuredpatterns.
