简介:Newacetylenemonomers,6-{[(1-naphthylethynyl-4-phenyl)carbonyl]oxy}-l-phenyl-l-hexyne(1),2,5-diethynylthiophene(3),and4,4′-diethynylbiphenyl(6)weresynthesized.Homopolymerizationof1andcopolycyclotrimerizationsof3and6with1-heptyneandl-octynehavebeenachievedwithWCI6-andTaC15-Ph4Sncatalysts,respectively,givingsolublelineardisubstitutedpolyacetylene(2)andhyperbranchedpolyarylenes(5and8)withhighmolecularweights(upto1.2×105)inhighyields(upto98%).ThestructuresandpropertiesofthepolymersarecharacterizedandevaluatedbyIR,NMR,TGA,UV,photoluminescence(PL),andelectroluminescence(EL)analyses.Allthepolymerspossesshighthermalstabilityandemitstrongbluelightuponphotoexcitation.Theintensityoftheemittedlightisgreaterthanthatofpoly(1-phenyl-1-octyne),awell-knownhighlyluminescentdisubstitutedpolyacetylene.Littleaggregation-inducedredshiftinthePLwasobservedinthethinfilmsofthepolymers.Byconstructingamulti-layerELdevice,highELquantumyield(0.18%)hasbeenachievedin2,whicharethebestresultsforsubstitutedpolyacetylenesattainablesofar.

简介:Inthisarticle,AHPS(3-allyloxy-2-hydroxy-1-propanesulfonatesalt)wassynthesizedtouseinemulsifier-freeemulsionpolymerizationofBA/BMA/MMAsystemforhighsolidcontentlatexes.Storagestability,flowbehaviorofthelatexes,morphologyoftheobtainedlatexparticles,dynamicviscoelasticbehavior,tensilestrengthandwaterresistancepropertiesoftheresultedcopolymerswereinvestigated.TheexperimentalresultsshowthatwiththeadditionofAHPS,stabilityoftheemulsionisgreatlyimprovedthatthereappearsnoapparentprecipitationduringthepolymerizationandstorageatroomtemperaturefor6monthsandat-10℃forfourmonths.FlowofthelatexesfollowstheBinghambodylaws,diameterofthelatexparticlesisabout0.6μm,ofwhichislargerthanthatofbyconventionalemulsionpolymerization(0.12μm).Inaddition,notonlywaterresistanceofthecopolymersobtainedbyemulsifier-freeemulstionpolymerizationisgreatlyimproved,butalsotensilestrengthisobviouslyenhanced.

简介:Carbazole-basedbi-functionalphotorefractivepolyacrylateswerepreparedviafreeradicalpolymerizationandpost-azo-couplingreaction.ThestructureofpolymerswascharacterizedbyFouriertransforminfraredspectroscopy(FTIR)andprotonnuclearmagneticresonance(1H-NMR)spectroscopy.Thedifferentialscanningcalorimetry(DSC)andthethermalgravimetricanalysis(TGA)wereusedtocharacterizethethermalpropertyofpolymers.Theresultsindicatethatthoughtheglasstransitiontemperature(Tg)ofpolymersincreaseswithincreasingtheratioofNLOgroups,thepolymerswithdifferentratiosofNLOgroupsstillallshowlowglasstransitiontemperaturesaround60°C,andgoodthermalstability,whicharefavorabletothepracticalapplicationofthesepolymers.Thegelpermeationchromatographic(GPC)resultindicatesthatthesepolymersallhavehigh-molecular-weightwhichisfavorabletothelongtermstabilityofthematerial.Further,thesepolymershavegoodsolubilityinchloroformsolvent,andthesolutionscaneasilybefabricatedintoopticallytransparentfilms.Gaincoefficientsof75cm-1,185cm-1and66cm-1canbeobservedatzeroexternalelectricfieldwithoutanyadditionagentorpre-polingforpolymersP-2,P-3andP-4respectively.ThedifferentcontentsofNLOgroupsresultinthedifferentpropertiesofpolymersP-2,P-3andP-4.

简介:Usingsupportedmulti-componentzincdicarboxylatecatalyst,poly(1,2-propylenecarbonate-co-1,2-cyclohexylenecarbonate)(PPCHC)wassuccessfullysynthesizedfromcarbondioxide(CO_2)withpropyleneoxide(PO)andcyclohexeneoxide(CHO).Theconversionofepoxidesdramaticallyincreasedupto89.7%(yield:384.2gofpolymerpergofZn)withincreasingreactiontemperaturefrom60℃to80℃.Theoptimizedreactiontemperatureis80℃.Thechemicalstructure,themolecularweight,aswellasthermalandmechanicalpropertiesoftheresultingterpolymerswereinvestigatedextensively.WhenCHOfeedcontent(mol%)islowerthan10%,thePPCHCterpolymershavenumberaveragemolecularweight(M_n)rangingfrom102×10~3to202×10~3andmolecularweightdistribution(MWD)valuesrangingfrom2.8to3.5.Incontrasttopoly(propylenecarbonate)(PPC),theintroductionofsmallamountofCHOleadstoincreaseintheglasstransitiontemperaturefrom38.0℃to42.6℃.Similarly,themechanicalstrengthofthesynthesizedterpolymerisgreatlyenhancedduetotheincorporationofCHO.TheseimprovementsinmechanicalandthermalpropertiesareofimportanceforthepracticalapplicationofPPC.
