简介:ThispaperpresentsaframeworkforroadnetworkchangedetectioninordertoupdatetheCanadianNationalTopographicDataBase(NTDB).ThemethodologyhasbeendevelopedonthebasisofroadextractionfromIRS-panimages(witha5.8mspatialresolution)byusingawaveletapproach.Thefeaturematchingandconflationtechniquesareusedtoroadchangedetectionandupdating.Elementaryexperimentshaveshowedthattheproposedframeworkcouldbeusedfordevelopinganoperationalroaddatabaseupdatingsystem.
