摘要
Inthispaper,thefeedbackloadreductionprobleminwirelesssystemsbasedonorthogonalfrequencydivisionmultiplexing(OFDM)isinvestigatedandanopportunisticfeedbackscheme(OFS)isproposed.ThekeyideabehindOFSisthatonlythekeychannelgainswhichcansignificantlyaffectthesystemthroughputarefedbacktotheBS.Firstly,thekeychannelgainsareprovedtobelongtoachannelgaininterval.Secondly,astatisticalmethodisproposedtoestimatethechannelgaininterval.Thirdly,theopportunisticfeedbackschemeisformulatedandthefeedbackloadofOFSisanalyzed.TheadvantageofOFSisthreefold:thefirstisOFScanworkinbothOFDM-basedmulticastsystemandOFDM-basedunicastsystem.ThesecondisthechannelfadingtypeoftheBS-userlinkisnotrequired,whichismorerealistic.ThethirdisOFScangetbetterfeedbackloadperformancecomparedwithotherschemes,whileachievingalmostthesamethroughputperformancecomparedwiththatoffullfeedbackscheme.
