摘要
Thereisgrowinginterestinthecorrelationbetweenworkingtimeandenvironmentalpressures,butpriorempiricalstudiesmostlyfocusedonstaticmethodologies.Thisarticleuseddynamicpanelregressionapproachestoexamineandcomparetherelationshipamongwestern,southern,andnorthernEuropeancountriesovertheperiod1970-2010,andprovedtheexistenceofstronglysignificantrelationshipsinallmodels.Furthermore,thisarticledetectedtherelationshipbetweenworkinghoursandenvironmentalindicators(carbonemissionandenergyuse)atdifferentphases.Wecontributetoafurtherunderstandingoftheenvironmentaleffectsoftheworkingtimereductionpolicybycomparingthedifferencesamongvariousperiodsandcountrygroupsinasystemgeneralizedmethodofmoments(GMM)dynamicframework.
