摘要
Anationallyrepresentativesampleof1640Chineseurbanadolescents(meanage=14.5years)andtheirparentsandteachersweresurveyedtoexaminetheassociationsbetweenrelationshipswithteachersandparentsandadolescents'developmentaloutcomessuchasacademicperformance,psychologicalwell-being,altruisticbehaviors,andmisconduct.Resultsshowedthatthequalityofadolescents'relationshipswithteacherswashighlycorrelatedwithadolescentoutcomes,inmostcasesmoresothanforrelationshipswithparents.Furthermore,suchassociationswerethesameacrossbothgendersandthreegradelevels.ThesefindingssuggestthatteachersmayplayanespeciallysignificantroleinChineseadolescentdevelopment.Thisstudyaddstothesmallbutgrowingliteratureontheimportanceofteachersaswellasothernon-parentaladultsinadolescentpsychosocialdevelopment.
