摘要
Weexploredthepossibilitiesofwhole-genomeduplication(WGD)inprokaryoticspecies,whereweperformedstatisticalanalysesoftheconfigurationsofthecentralanglesbetweenhomologoustandemrepeats(TRs)onthecircularchromosomes.Atfirst,wedetectedTRsontheirchromosomesandidentifiedequivalenttandemrepeatpairs(ETRPs);here,anETRPisdefinedasapairoftandemrepeatssequentiallysimilartoeachother.ThenwecarriedoutstatisticalanalysesofthecentralangledistributionsofthedetectedETRPsoneachcircularchromosomebywayofcomparisonsbetweenthedetecteddistributionsandthosegeneratedbynullmodels.Intheanalyses,weestimatedaPvaluebyasimulationusingtheKullback–Leiblerdivergenceasadistancemeasurebetweentwodistributions.Asaresult,thecentralangledistributionsfor8outofthe203prokaryoticspeciesshowedstatisticallysignificantdeviations(P<0.05).Inparticular,wefoundoutthecharacteristicfeatureofoneroundofWGDinPhotorhabdusluminescensgenomeandthatoftworoundsofWGDinEscherichiacoliK12.
