TneglobalchangeofclimateanditsinfluenceonthecroppingsysteminChinahavebeeninvestigatedinthispaper.ItisfoundthatthetemperaturewasincreasedduringthelastdecadeandtheprecipitationdecreasedinnorthernChinaandincreasedinsouthernChinaduringthelast30years.Thesealevelhasbeenrisingbyabout21—26cminthecoastalareassouthof30°NinChinaduringthelast100years.Themostofresultsassimulatedbythegeneralcirculationmodels(GCMs)showthatthetemperatureincreasewouldamounttoabout2°—4°CinthemostpartsofChinaandprecipitationandsoilmoisturemightbedecreasedinnorthernChinaandincreasedinsourthernChinaduetodoublingofcarbondioxide(CO2).TheeffectsofdoubledCO2ongrowthperiodandclimaticyieldcapabilityinChinahavebeenestimatedroughly.ItisshownthattheregionsofthegrowthperiodinChinawouldbemovednorthwardaboutfivedegreeslatitudeandtheclimaticyieldcapabilitymightbeincreasedbyabout10%inthemostpartsofChina.
