Thispaperpresentedtheapplicationofthedirecthotchargerolling(DHCR)technologyinNingboSteel.Fiveaspectshavebeensystematicallyaddressedandanalyzed,whichincludesalesorder,productionscheduleprogramming,steelmaking,continuouscastingandhot-rolling.TheaverageDHCRproductratehasreached55%andtheaverageslabchargingtemperature699℃.Asaresult,theproductioncost,theenergyconsumptionandtheCO2emissionhavebeensignificantlyreduced.ItisconcludedthatabreakthroughinapplicationoftheDHCRtechnologyhasbeenachievedatNingboSteel.
