Toattainthevolumetricinformationoftheopticradiationinnormalhumanbrains,weperformeddiffusiontensorimagingexaminationin13healthyvolunteers.Simultaneously,weusedabrainnormalizationmethodtoreduceinpidualbrainvariationandincreasetheaccuracyofvolumetricinformationanalysis.Inaddition,tractography-basedgroupmappingmethodwasalsousedtoinvestigatetheprobabilityanddistributionoftheopticradiationpathways.Ourresultsshowedthatthemeasuredopticradiationfibertractvolumewasarangeofabout0.16%andthatthefractionalanisotropyvaluewasabout0.53.Moreover,theopticradiationprobabilityfiberpathwaythatwasdeterminedwithdiffusiontensortractography-basedgroupmappingwasabletodetectthelocationrelativelyaccurately.Webelievethatourmethodsandresultsarehelpfulinthestudyofopticradiationfibertractinformation.
