Thehydrodynamicanalysisofmulti-floatingbodiesisimportantandwidelyusedinmarineengineering.Inthisstudy,wesystematicallysimulatedthewavediffractionproblemofafixedverticalfour-cylinderstructureinregularwavesinthetimedomaininaviscousnumericalwavetank.Thehydrodynamicinteractionofwaveswithabottom-mountedstructureconsistingoffourverticalcylindersarrangedatthecornersofasquareshowsacomplicatedinterferencephenomenon.Inthispaper,weillustrateandanalyzetherun-uparoundthestructureandthecorrespondingwaveforces.Toinvestigatetheviscouseffectonthenear-trappingphenomenon,wepayparticularattentiontoinvestigatingthewavesnear-trappedinsidethefour-cylinderstructure,andmakeacomparativestudyoftheviscous-andinviscid-flowsolutionswiththeexperimentalmeasurements.Theresultsshowthatthemaximumwaveelevationoccursontheinnersideoftheleesidecylinder,andthatthewaveelevationsontheoutersideofthecylindersarelowerthanthoseontheinnerside.Wecanconcludethatviscosityhasanobviousdampingeffectonwaveelevationsinsidethestructure.Thecylindersshowatendencytodriftapartfromeachotherwhenthenear-trappingphenomenonoccurs.
