Thesemi-carbonizationmethodisakindofwastetreatmenttocarbonizericestrawfiberatlowsemi-carbontemperature.Thericestrawfiberiscarbonizedincompletely,whichservesasbuildingmaterialsadditive.Theresultsrevealthattheoptimizedcarbonizationconditionisat313℃for20-40minwithH_3PO_4asactivator.Thestructureofsemi-carbonizedstrawfiberdisplaysalargequantityofmicropores,withwhichthewallthicknessandtheporediameterareintherangeof1-4μm,presentingtheiodinesorptionvalueof1320-1470mL/gandthemethylenebluesorptionvalueof1330-1460mg/g,respectively.Moreover,theacidicoxygen-containinggroupsimpartthestructurehighersorptionofpolarmolecules.Thesemi-carbonizedricestrawfiberwithopenandclosedmicro-mesoporesdemonstratesgoodhygroscopicity,implyingthepotentialapplicationasafunctionaladditiveinbuildingmaterials.
