Amethodispresentedtodeterminesignificantfrequenciesofoscillationsofcavitationstructuresfromhigh-speedcamerarecordingsofaflowarounda2-Dhydrofoil.ThetopviewofthesuctionsideofanNACA2412hydrofoilisstudiedinatransparenttestsectionofacavitationtunnelforselectedcloudcavitationregimeswithstrongoscillationsinducedbytheleading-edgecavityshedding.Theabilityofthemethodtoaccuratelydeterminethedominantoscillationfrequenciesisconfirmedbypressuremeasurements.Themethodcanresolvesubtleflowcharacteristicsthatarenotvisibletothenakedeye.Themethodcanbeusedfornoninvasiveexperimentalstudiesofoscillationsincavitatingflowswithadequatevisualaccesswhenpressuremeasurementsarenotavailableorwhensuchmeasurementswoulddisturbtheflow.
