Thevariationinarccharacteristicsandbehaviorofmetaltransferwiththechangeinpulseparametershasbeenstudiedbyhighspeedvideocameraduringpulsecurrentflux-coredarcwelddeposition.Acomparativestudyofsimilarnaturehasalsobeencarriedoutduringflux-coredarcwelddepositioninglobularandspraytransfermodes.Theeffectofpulseparametershasbeenstudiedbyconsideringtheirmeancurrentandarcvoltage.Thearccharacteristicsstudiedbyitsrootdiameter,projecteddiameterandlength,andthebehaviorofmetaltransfernotedbythemetaltransfermodelandthedropletdiameterhavebeenfoundtovarysignificantlywiththepulseparameters.TheobservationmayhelpinunderstandingthearccharacteristicswithrespecttothevariationinpulseparameterswhichmaybebeneficialinusingpulsecurrentFCAWtoproducedesiredweldquality.
