InordertoprovideascientificbasisforriceyieldestimationandimprovetheacouracyofyieldestimationinZhejiangProvince,Regionalizationindicesforriceyieldestimationbyremoesensing(RS)intheprovinceweredeterminedbyconsjderingthespecialfeaturesofyieldestimationbyRS,andbasedonanalysisofthenaturalconditionsofZhejiangProvince,Theindicesdeterminedincludedricecroppingsystem,agroclimate,landform,surfacefeaturesturctureandriceyieldlevel,wherericeplantingsystemwasconsideredasthemianone,ThenreionalizationfroriceyieldestimationbyRSwascompletedbyspatialneighboringanalysiswiththeGeographicalInfromationSystem(GIS)technologycombinedwithusigoftreealgorithmTheprovincewaspidedintotworegions,i.e.,thesingle-croppingriceregionwhichwassubpidedinto3regionsincludingthoseinmountainsofnorthewstZhejiang,waternetworkareaofnorthZhejiangandmountainsofsothZhejiang,anddouble-croppingriceregionwhichwassupidedinto5regionsincludingthoseonplainofnorthZhejiang,coastalplainsandhillsofsoutheastZhejiang,Jin-QuBasinofmiddleZhejiang,hillsofeastZhejiang,andhillsandmountainsofnorthewatZhejiang,thisregionaliztiontookthecountybordersastheregionboundaries,kepttheregionsconnectiveandmadetheadministrativregionsintegrityand,then,couldmeettherequirementsofriceyieldestimationbyRS,showingthattheresultswerequitesatisfying.
