Invasivefractionalflowreserve(FFR)measurementiscurrentlythegoldstandardforcoronaryintervention.FFRmeasurementbycoronarycomputedtomographyangiography(FFRCT)isanovelandpromisingimagingtechnologythatpermitsnoninvasiveassessmentofphysiologicallysignificantcoronarylesions.FFRCTiscapableofcombiningtheanatomicinformationprovidedbycoronarycomputedtomographyangiographywithcomputationalfluiddynamicstocomputeFFR.Todate,severalstudieshavereportedthediagnosticperformanceofFFRCTcomparedwithinvasiveFFRmeasurementasthereferencestandard.FurtherstudiesarenowbeingimplementedtodeterminetheclinicalfeasibilityandeconomicimplicationsofFFRCTtechniques.ThisarticleprovidesanoverviewanddiscussestheavailableevidenceaswellaspotentialfuturedirectionsofFFRCT.
