Byaccuratelymeasuringthedisplacementbetweentherollersurfaceandtheopticalfiberproberelativetoanullposition,wecantesttherollerwear.Thewholetestingmethodandsystemwereintroduced.Eachpartofthetestingsystemwasillustrated.Andalsoanovelfiber-opticsensorwiththreeprobesinequaltransversespaceisadopted.Usingthissensor,theeffectsoffluctuationsinthelightsource,reflectivitychangingoftargetsurfaceandtheintensitylossesinthefiberlinesareautomaticallycompensated.Thismethodofferssuchadvantagesasnon-contact,noelectromagneticinterference,simplicity,lowcost,highsensitivity,goodaccuracyandstability.
