The45°scatteringofafemtosecond(60fs)intenselaserpulsewitha20nmFWHM(thefullwidthathalfmaximum)spectrumcenteredat790nmhasbeenstudiedexperimentallywhilefocusedinargonclustersatintensity～1016W/cra2.Scatteringspectraunderdifferentbackingpressuresandlaser-plasmainteractionlengthswereobtained,whichshowedspectralblueshifting,beamrefractionandcomplexmodulation.Theseionization-inducedeffectsrevealthemodulationoflaserpulsespropagatinginplasmasandtheexistingobstacleinlaserclusterinteractionathighlaserintensityandhighelectrondensity.
