WehaveintegratedinformationfromseismicmomenttensorsandGPSvelocitiesinQinghai_Tibetanditsmargins.Belowwesummarizesomepointsfromthisstudy. 1)ThedeformationratesfromseismicmomenttensorsandfromGPSvelocitiesarebasicallyagreedwitheachother. 2)Thetendenciesofdirectionsofseismicandgeodeticprincipalstrainrateareresembleexceptforoneortwoblocks,however,themagnitudesofaveragestrainratefromseismicmomenttensorsaremuchlargerthanthatfromGPSvelocitiesexceptformiddleTibetblock. 3)Accordingtotheopinionthatstrainenergywillbereleasedthroughearthquake,itisviableforanalyzingearthquakepotentialbycomparinggeodeticstrainratewithseismicstrainrate.Thereisearthquakepotential(>M5)inmiddleTibetinafewyears.Acknowledgment WethankDr.WangQiprovidingGPSvelocitiesinTibetanditsmargins.
