Inthispaper,anewhybridcontroltechnique,basedonacombinationofbase-isolationandsemi-activevariablestiffness/dampinginasuperstructure,ispresented.Toillustratetheefficiencyoftheproposedcontrolsystem,modeltestsonamini-electromagneticshakingtableandanumericalsimulationwereperformed.Thetestandnumericalcalculationresultsindicatethatthisnewhybridcontrolmodewithadditionaldampingandsmalleradditionalstiffnesscanachieveabettercontrolefficiency.
