Arraycalibrationisimportantinengineeringpractice.Inthispaper,fastcalibrationmethodsforaULA'sgainandphaseerrorsbothinfarandnearfieldsareproposed.Inthefarfield,usingasinglesoundsourcewithoutexactorientation,thismethodhorizontallyrotatesthearrayexactlyonce,performseigenvaluedecompositionforthecovariancematrixofreceiveddata,thencomputesthegainandphaseerroraccordingtotheformulas.Inthenearfield,usingthesamesinglesoundsource,itisnecessarytorotatethearrayhorizontallyatmostthreetimes,buildequationsaccordingtogeometricrelations,thensolvethem.Usingtheformulaproposedinthispaper,sphericalwavesaremodifiedintoplanewaves.Theneigenvaluesdecompositionisperformed.Thesetwocalibrationmethodswereshowntobevalidbysimulationandarefast,accurateandeasytouse.Finally,ananalysisoffactorsinfluencingestimationprecisionisgiven.
