AMonteCarloAnalysisofnodesdeploymentforlarge-scaleandnon-homogeneouswirelesssensornetworks,hasbeendone.Throughsimulationsofrandomdeploymentsofnodesoverasquareareausingdifferentdensities,assumingthatournetworkiscomposedbyAnchornodes(specialsensorswithknownposition)andsimpleSensornodes,thelatteraresupposedtoestimatetheirownpositionafterbeingplacedwithinthecoverageareawiththeminimumAnchornodesneededto'feed'themwiththenecessaryinformation.Thegoalisthentoassistdecision-makersinselectingamongdifferentalternativestodeploythenetworks,accordingtoresourcesfeaturesandavailability,hencethismethodprovidesanestimatevalueofhowmanyAnchornodesshouldbedeployedinagivenareatotriggerthelocationalgorithminthegreatestpossiblenumberofSensornodesinthenetwork.
