简介:Fiber-opticFabry-Perot(F-P)sensorsarewidelyinvestigatedbecausetheyhaveseveraladvantagesoverconventionalsensors,suchasimmunitytoelectromagneticinterference,abilitytooperateunderbadenvironments,highsensitivityandthepotentialformultiplexing.Anewmethodtofabricatemicro-cavityFabry-Perotinterferometerisintroduced,whichisfusionsplicingasectionofconventionalsingle-modefiber(SMF)andasectionofhollowcoreorsolidcorephotoniccrystalfiber(PCF)togethertoformamicro-cavityatthesplicejoint.Thetechnologyoffusionsplicingisdiscussed,andtwominiatureopticalfibersensorsbasedonFabry-Perotinterferenceusingfusionsplicingarepresented.Thetwosensorsarecompletelymadeoffusedsilica,andhavegoodhigh-temperaturecapability.
