简介:Ingeneral,theseismicresponseanalysisinearthquakeengineeringassumesthatthevibrationparametersofthetargetandthecontactsurfaceoftheexternalmediaareidentical,i.e.,singlepointinput.However,earthquakeenergyhasanattenuationphenomenoninwavepropagation,soawiderangeofsoilslopesandtheexternalmediumcontactsurfaceofdifferentinputpointsonmotionarenotidentical.Ifweconsidersinglepointinputonly,itmaynotcorrespondwithreality,soitisnecessarytocarryoutresearchonmulti-pointinputmethods.Basedonthe2-Dslopemodel,single-pointinputandmulti-pointinputareperformedrespectivelytoanalyzeandcomparetheirsimilaritiesanddifferencesintheperspectivesofthecharacteristicsofseismicresponseofsoillayerandplasticzonedistributiontoprovideareferencefortheseismicdesignofslopes.Theresultsshowthatintheperspectiveofsoilseismicresponseanalysis,thepeakaccelerationoutputandpeakvelocityoutputundermulti-pointinputaregreaterthanthepeakvaluesundersinglepointinputatthesamemonitoringpoint,thepeakappearingtimeisalsoearlierthanthatofthesinglepointinput;intermsoftheplasticzonedistribution,themulti-pointeffectismanifestedasthepresenceofmoreobvioustensileshearfailures;intheperspectiveofsafetycoefficient,thesafetycoefficientundereachmulti-pointinputissmallerthanthatofsinglepointinput,adifferenceofabout7%orso.Insummary,multi-pointinputismorereasonableandpracticalthansinglepointinput,somulti-pointinputshouldbeconsideredinseismicdesign.

简介:Inthispaper,accordingtotheFujianSeismicNetworkearthquakecatalogrecords,theTnowmethodandtheFourStationsContinuousLocationmethod(hereinaftercalledFSCL)putforwardbyJinXingareinspectedbyusingP-wavearrivalinformationofthefirstfourstationsofeachseismicevent.Resultsshowthatforearthquakeswithinthenetwork,bothmethodscanobtainsimilarlocationresultsandlocationdeviationsaresmallforthemajorityoftheevents.Forearthquakesoutsidethenetwork,thelocationdeviationmaybeamplifiedastheepicentraldistanceincreases,owingtotheseismicstationdistributionwhichspreadtowardthesideoftheepicenterandthesmallopeninganglebetweenseismicstationsusedforlocatingandepicenter.FortheFSCLmethod,theimpactsofthewavevelocityonthelocationresultsmaybesignificantforearthquakesoutsidethenetwork.Thus,selectingavelocitymodelwhichissimilartotheactualstructureofthewavevelocitywillcontributetoimprovinglocationresultsofearthquakes.TheFSCLmethodcanlocatemoreseismiceventsthantheTnowmethod.ItconcludesthattheTnowmethodmakesuseofmistakeinformationfromsomenon-triggeringstationsinearthquakecatalog,andsomeP-wavearrivalsarenotincludedintheearthquakecatalogduetodiscontinuousrecordsorunclearrecordsoftheseismicphase,whichinducesincorrectlocation.

简介:Thesatelliteremotesensinghasbecomeapromisingtechniquefordetectingearthquakeandfaultactivities.Butitisstillverydifficulttoexactlyextracttheearthquakeanomalyfromthecomplicatedremotesensinginformation.Thispaperpresentedatwo-stepmethodtoextracttheseismicmicrowaveradiationanomalyrelatedwithearthquake,whichcouldeliminatethestableinfluenceofgeography,terrain,coversphereandseasons,aswellastherandominfluenceofweather.Furthermorethetwo-stepmethodwasappliedtoanalyzetheanomalyofWenchuanearthquakebasedonthedataofAMSR-E.Microwaveradiationanomalieswereeffectivelydetectedrelatedtothemainshockandaftershocks.Theextractedmicrowaveradiationvariationshowedgeneralfeaturesofthree-stage:thepositiveradiationanomalyappearedaroundtheepicenterinthefirststage,quietvariationinthesecondstage,andabnormalareagraduallymovedtotheepicenterinthethirdstage.AfterthemainshockthemicrowaveradiationanomaliesdistributedalongtheLongmenshanfaults,andtheepicentersofaftershockswerecoincidentwiththeanomalyareainspace.

简介:Wepresentaparallelhybridalgorithmbasedonpseudospectralmethod(PSM)andfinitedifferencemethod(FDM)fortwo-dimensional(2-D)globalSHwavefieldsimulation.Thewhole-EarthmodelistakenasacrosssectionofsphericalEarth,andcorrespondingwaveequationsaredefinedin2-Dcylindricalcoordinates.SpatialderivativesinthewaveequationsareapproximatedwithefficientandhighaccuracyPSMinthelateralandhigh-orderFDMintheradialdirectiononstaggeredgrids.Thisalgorithmallowsustodividethewhole-Earthintosub-domainsinradialdirectionandimplementefficientparallelcomputingonPCcluster,whileretainshighaccuracyandefficiencyofPSMinlateraldirection.Atransformationofmomenttensorbetween3-DsphericalEarthandour2-Dmodelwasproposedtogivecorrespondingmomenttensorcomponentsusedin2-Dmodeling.Comparisonofmodelingresultswiththoseobtainedbydirectsolutionmethodshowsverygoodaccuracyofouralgorithm.Wealsodemonstrateitsfeasibilitywithalateralheterogeneouswhole-Earthmodelwithlocalizedvelocityperturbation.
简介:Inviewofthecorrelationbetweentectonicactivityandseismicity,thestrongearthquakeriskintheNorth-SouthSeismicBeltarousedwideconcernafterthe2014YutianM_S7.3earthquake.UsingtheseismiccatalogoftheChinaEarthquakeNetworksCenter,theBenioffstrainratiointheNorth-SouthSeismicBeltiscalculatedin30daysbeforeandaftertheMarch21,2008andFebruary12,2014YutianM_S7.3earthquakes.Resultsshowthatinayearafterthe2008YutianM_S7.3earthquake,M>5.0earthquakesalloccurrednearthehighstrainratioareaorthejunctionbetweenthelowandhighstrainratioareas,theactivityofstrongearthquakesobviouslycoincideswiththehighstrainratioarea,whichindicatesthattheseareashaveahigherstresslevel.TheYutianearthquakespromotedthereleaseofsmallearthquakesinthehighstressareas.Thisresearchisofcertainindicatingsignificancetothestudyofsubsequentstrongearthquakesofthisregion.
