简介:Thispaperisaimedatintroducingourresearchresultintheefficiencyinremovingnitrousoxidegas(N_2O)byusingcompostasamediumfilter,whichisactuallyakindofmanurederivedfromcowfaecesatKukusanKelurahanfarmconlaingwoodchipsandsomeothermicroorganisms.Practicallyspeaking,N_2Oisamajorgreenhousegas,whosecontinuouspresenceintheatmosphereisexpectedtolastovera100yearsandproduceitsradiativewarmingeffectjustnexttoCO_2.Inspiteofitsrathersmallconcentrationintheatmosphere,itistheNumberFourlargestgreenhousegascontributortotheoverallglobalwarming,behindcarbondioxide,methaneandwatervapour.ThebiofiltrationexperimentswehaveconductedtoexploreitsremovingrateofN_2Ofromfluegashelpustofindvariousoperatingfactorsinthebiofiltersystem.Sofarasweknow,N_2Ogashasbeenfedfromthetopofthecolumn.Itwasflowingthroughthecolumnwhenitismadetogetcirculatedwithaperistalticpumpfor6hours.ThedataobtainedinourpaperprovetobeinconformitywiththeLangmuiradsorptionmodel.ThehighestN_2Ogasremovingefficiencycanbemadetobeashighas70.22%atthehighestbiofilterlengthof50cmwiththegasflowingrateof200mL/min.TheresultsofthisresearchhavefinallybeenmodeledbytheLangmuiradsorptionisothermformulawithitsKvalueobtainedbeing16.949L/mol.
