简介：Toaimathighercodingefficiencyformultiviewvideocoding,themultiviewvideowithamodifiedhighefficiencyvideocoding(MV-HEVC)codecisproposedtoencodethedependentviews.However,thecomputationalcomplexityofMV-HEVCencoderisalsoincreasedsignificantlysinceMV-HEVCinheritsallcomputationalcomplexityofHEVC.ThispaperpresentsanefficientalgorithmforreducingthehighcomputationalcomplexityofMV-HEVCbyfastdecidingthecodingunitduringtheencodingprocess.Inourproposal,thedepthinformationofthelargestcodingunits(LCUs)fromindependentviewandneighboringLCUsisanalyzedfirst.Afterwards,theanalyzedresultsareusedtoearlydeterminethedepthfordependentviewandthusachievecomputationalcomplexityreduction.Furthermore,apredictionunit(PU)decisionstrategyisalsoproposedtomaintainthevideoquality.Experimentalresultsdemonstratethatouralgorithmcanachieve57%timesavingonaverage,whilemaintaininggoodvideoqualityandbit-rateperformancecomparedwithHTM8.0.
